Both sides are messed up, like it didn't punch could it be greased filled die on all of it?

I would say strike through (grease). Looks like a keeper. Extreme ones are very interesting.

Since most of the detail present seems to be at the center, i.e. closest to the areas with the highest relief, then I would be inclined to agree with ziggy9 and say it is an adjustment strike. Not sure of the value but I bet it is worth more than a grease struck-through

after looking at it awhile, it looks like a 1999 but cant tell if there is a mint mark or not.

Can't be a die trial strike because of the edge rim formed with the line near the rim. I have one I always thought was a die trial strike till Mike Diamond pointed out what I had missed.

The setup process makes the rim, the edge of the die makes the step down from the rim. Just a Grease Filled Die.

bummer.... thanks coop, I know I've read some on Grease Filled Dies and it said there were dollars involved in premium, is this a situation were this is a few dollars or is this a little more because of both side involved?

Struck through obstructed dies...probably grease. Specimens this dramatic are worth some premium value - a few dollars.
