I'm relatively sure this isn't a dropped letter. I mean it looks nice but I've even discredited these coins posted on this forum in the past. But pretty cool in a PCGS case MS66RD. What do you think?

It may or may not be a dropped letter, but it certainly looks like one to me!

What letter would it be? It looks a little small and I can't quite place it.

That one looks a bit raised around the edge to the inside like an L pressed on from another coin. Interesting that nearly every one of these I've seen has been the L, but it is the letter right by the rim and most likely to get pressed in I suppose.

T-BOP, a dropped letter is when a grease-filled device has the hard bit of grease fall out of it and gets struck through producing an incuse letter(s).

It could be a letter transfer from another coin to this one? What makes me think that? Consider the location of the letter. On the highest point on the design on that area. I think I see what Mike Diamond was mentioning about another coin:
1954-S-Lincoln-Wheat.-We've-Seen-This-Before-But-Not-On-A-MS-Coin!
So I will be removing this image from my files, as I feel It is a transfer from another coin because of location. If it were a dropped letter, why is only affecting the highest points of the design? On some examples that Mike has on his site, that I see now that makes more sense.

I feel this point of it occurring on the tops of the devices should be rethought. So I feel that this is just coin contact from another coin, not a dropped letter issue. Why, because the letters are too pristine to be a greasy transfer. Just realizing this today on this coin. We have thought it was something, that it really wasn't. New information to consider as me move forward.

Yea coop that's what it is. I've seen this before too and generally it's a well circulated coin. I grabbed this one just because of the interest factor.

I had forgotten about that image and re-edited it to make it stand out that that is not what it is, but is coin contact. Funny how sometimes it takes time to rethink something, and without hesitation, now I see it for what it really is.

On this coin you can see on the reverse, where someone placed on the of the incuse devices from a dollar coin, hit the coin and added it to the obverse (on the top of a device), but note that the reverse is pushed out.

Looks too small to be a dropped L, agree.
