Howdy all. So my roommate brought out some of his coins that he's had for quite some time as I was curious and wanted to see them since my new adventures in coin collecting.

I'm curious to here your thoughts on this one. The reverse is really in bad shape and yet from the looks of it, especially the Obverse, this coin is quite "minty".

So is the squished mess to the right PD or is this some weird mint error?

Thanks again!

Damaged. Not a mint error. A damaged coin is never worth more than face value. (To a collector away)

Yes, I'm aware that a damaged coin is no more than it's face value but interesting that this squished damage seems to have created some O imprints into the coin. It could be cool to know it's story ;)

Yep so it is. But even damaged things have stories; my curiosity and all ;)

@apw, you touch on one of the great aspects of coin collecting in that we all can collect whatever we want, regardless of value. I say keep it if you think that it is cool.
