Hello everyone! So hopefully I'll be thanking Taco bell for this, but in my change yesterday from lunch was a 1943 steel penny that they gave to me as a dime. Lol Anyhow right away I could tell that there was something wrong with the E and the M on the reverse of the coin in the E PLURIBUS UNUM. So I bought a microscope camera, just a cheap one nothing special, but upon further inspection it appears that there is doubling in the numbers also. So would this be considered an actual double or just another poor man's double? I'm not great with technology at all and so I tried the best I could with getting pictures hopefully they're good enough. As always thank you for your help and any knowledge that I can gain!
Welcome!! It is cool that old coins are still circulating in the public. Nice change. I do not see any doubling, just die wear and PMD. Have you checked out all of Coop's postings? There is a wealth of info in them to help you learn. You can cut back on the number of pictures also. Just front back and area of concern. Nice pictures too! https://goccf.com/t/265641
Also the coin was plated. Making the fields look worse than before as it was not prepared well. Al the glare on your images are probably the areas you are looking at. Probably Machine Doubling on those areas. The glare is cause by the metal being flattened and not reflecting. If it is Machine Doubling no premium for that either.
