My mind may be playing tricks on me, but while comparing some '64 Kennedy's under the microscope last night, I think the characters on the obverse of this coin are a bit bigger/more bulbous than the others/ones I looked up online.

I could be completely wrong, but I first noticed the letters in 'GOD' thinking they were MD. But after comparing every letter/number to online '64 Kennedy's and my own, I'm wondering if this could possibly be a class 6 DD? I'm not seeing pronounced notches, though maybe in the '6' in the date. Despite my best attempts at researching this, I'm still very much a beginner. Now I need the experts to weigh in. Thank you in advance . . .

(I have pictures of every character but didn't want to bombard this post with tons of pics, although I know there's alot already...)

@bogie, you have posted some amazingly good close-up pics here--well done.

With my eyes, I'm not seeing any split serifs though. Let's see if anyone else does though.

Note on the centers of several devices. Do you see a line in the horizontal areas of the devices. That is showing the spread on the die that struck your coin. The '6' is the widest. Look at the areas on the doubled die that show those marks on V.V to see if they match. Then you can I'd what die it was from. Sometimes these are not listed yet, so find a die that all these lines match up to.

Thanks Spence! I take my scope pics, which start out at around 3 or 4 mb per picture, and use cloudconvert to compress them. I googled 'jpg compress' and it's the third link down for me. The site allows you to input a 'quality' number from 1-100, and depending on the size of the file, I have to use 15 to 20 (give or take) to compress the file just under 300kb and they usually come out very well.

Thanks Coop. I have checked those listed on VV and the only one I thought came close was ODV-002/RDV-002. However the comments for that variety say it's on a proof coin and I don't see the hair doubling in the above variety. I'll keep searching, but does your post indicate it likely shows some doubling?

It is small amount. So it may/may not be listed. I always hang on to them to see if they are listed later one, before I could let go of it. If damaged, It might be a melt coin. The bigger than line, the more spread it will show.

So seeing the same devices side by side, will help your eyes pick out the differences and why each die is not exactly the same, unless they are from the same die. Hope this helps.
