So, I'm pretty sure I found my first double die since I've switch to using my new Macro lens attachment for my phone. Don't even have to zoom in to close. I only did so for clarity.

The term is "doubled die," which may seem like a pedantic distinction, but is actually a pretty key difference that speaks to the cause of the doubling and how it is distinguished from what you have here, which is an example of worthless Machine Doubling.

this is MD. Also, you should have asked the Staff to move your original topic to the correct forum instead of creating a new duplicate post.

To tell the difference is, that you are looking on the wrong areas of the devices. What? On a doubled die, you need to look at the centers oh the devices to see extra width or height added to the devices on the die. You are looking at the outside edges of the devices where Machine Doubling happens. Right after the coin is struck, the machine be loose, gives the devices a kick in the shins damaging that area of the coin. So looking on the outside edges of the devices will only find you ---- Machine Doubling. Here is an example on a coin from the same year, but on the opposite side:
New-Double-Die.
New-Double-Die.
New-Double-Die.
New-Double-Die.
Note the colored arrows pointing at Machine Doubling and actual hub doubling (a doubled die)
To show you how much difference in size it makes the doubled die enlarged, note size differences with a side by side comparison?
New-Double-Die.
So the doubled dies are enlarged on the dies. Thus the term, doubled die. Machine Doubling can happen on a doubled die, because Machine Doubling is created by the machine.
