I found this one today among a mishmash of unattributed Mauryan Empire pieces. What I noticed was that it bore no obvious sun punch, which is a bit atypical. My understanding is that such specimens may be regarded as originating with kingdoms coexisting or allied with the Mauryan Empire. Weight is 3.46 grams.

Coins of this series are about the cheapest ancient silver coin that are possible to get. That is one reason why I have a few examples.

Unfortunately, the deciphering of the punch symbols makes them hard to identify individual coins in accurate detail.
Is there any published research that can help to assist in their identification?
