Technically they all do have a type B reverse but they are all also proof coins so that is normal. Proof quarters of this era had a type B reverse with strong tail feathers, and business strikes had weaker tail feathers, called a type A. You want to look for the Type-B reverses on business strike coins because the variety is that the mint used proof dies on business strike coins. So the reverse you see on your coins should be the variety you are looking for on business strike coins.

All in all, your coins are proof so the Type-B reverse you see on all of them is normal. Hunt down the business strike coins that have this reverse style and you will have the variety!

One coin per thread, please. You'll get more replies that way and it's less confusing for us.

Question of the day:
Okay. What year didn't have the Type 'B' on the proof quarter. Instead it had a Type 'A'?

Isn't there a type C also? The tail feathers on the 60 look doubled to the left. Or is that normal for a proof? Might be lighting or glare also.

Doubled tail feathers you're seeing are likely glare VestigeWolf. Yes, there is a type C reverse. It's quite scarce and is found on 1964-D Washington quarters. They are seldom found though.

They were the new design for the 1965 forward quarters but that changed several times, in a very short time span with several different reverses.

I never knew of these reverse types. I understood that the proof is struck with more details and that's about it.
