1943-S-Copper-Wt.-3.12-Error

If you look at the top of the 4 you can see the top of the 3..I know that it's damaged..I've looked at under microscope, magnifying class..I didn't see it either until I look a lot closer.
My mother in law was not a collector more than likely she had put some up when they quit producing them. We have actually discovered quite a few things that were put up.
I will say I have learned an awful lot and have found it quite interesting, however I am afraid to spend any change until I give a good inspection..lol
Okim a tad bit OCD and I seem to be getting fixated on coins.
Thanks everyone for their input I will be posting a few more soon

.... to the Community and the hobby!

Your "194x" (or whatever it is) cent is too damaged to be worth anything more than face, or melt, value.

If you are determined it's a 1943 cent then go ahead and submit it to ANACS for authentication and grading. At least you'll learn how to submit coins. Treat the grading and postage fees as "tuition" towards your Numismatics degree that you'll never get.

I've been studying towards my degree for almost 65 years! I know I will die before I graduate!

Tell you what - send it to ANACS, and if it comes back as a genuine 1943-S, I'll pay all your grading fees.
