Except for the 3rd pic (!?), I see nothing but a severely damaged coin with no evidence of being dated 1943.

Very convenient that one of the rarest coins in the hobby would happen to be in a state where the final digit of the date is so damaged it could literally say anything.

Looks like '42-D to me. A 9 (or 3) would have a descender, which I don't see.

Well-damaged copper Wheat cent. Insufficient evidence to conclusively support the '43 S assertion. Any other interesting coins turning up?

I'm not a coin collector like I said earlier we found 11 rolls that was in a wooden box in my mother-in-law's safe when she passed away when she was 85 they were marked wheat pennies I had no idea what a Wheat penny even was until then and I've done nothing probably for about a month but look at them and look them up and watch videos and all that good stuff so anything that looks different or off I asked questions about
My mother-in-law was not wanting to put stuff up just to be putting it up I'm assuming that maybe when they quit making these she probably put some up at that point because even her sons didn't know she had them
She also had a $20 gold coin that was actually made into a necklace and given to her son along with various other valuables
If we would have found these in a coin jar or anywhere else I probably would not have thought twice about it to even look at them but she put them up for a reason and they have been rolled up and sitting in her safe for several several several years now

A damaged coin can't be fixed. They are what they are and right now, it is a melt coin.

mutilated cent, value 1 cent.
But please, feel free to send it in for grading and attribution, because that's the only way anyone is going to take your word on what it is, if your intent was to sell it or something at any point. Nobody in their right mind is going to buy that looking the way it does. much less pay 1943S copper prices for it.

Heck you'd be lucky if coinstar doesn't reject it at this point!

. Even if it was a 1943 copper cent and I do not think it ever was,it would have no collector value in that condition.
