Why do you think this is an annealing error?

It looks like it may have been washed. Some detergents will cause toning like this.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Thanks silviosi and Coinfrog. Color looks like its been left in the oven too long. I'm not sure if I'm taking the info wrong but the lines on the reverse may indicate improper annealing

Thanks Yokozuna. I have never seen an improperly annealed coin in person that I'm aware of thats why I asked. They all look different so I thought maybe this could be one. It could be washed or artificial toning but I wouldn't know the difference

I read the elements get lined up because of the heat and create metal flow lines. I may have comprehended it wrong

@RW1010 You are not wrong, you are complete right to ask and thing. About the colors I will explain you why I will go to see.
Correct, heating will made some colors, but it is not the case. If heat the both sides will has almost same color or the borders of the coin will be same. What attract my attention was the miss of the green and the purple in the meddle of the yellow and near the black (dark) color.
If was annealing, will has not those colors. I will do a few samples of annealing colors in the very close future.

Thanks silviosi. First I'll say that I'm far from an expert. I read about errors and apply the info hopefully to the right coins. I read that purples and these colors are possible on annealed planchets and that when the coin is ejected or struck by the collar it will expose the clad. If I'm wrong it wouldn't be the first time. Got this amp w quarter for 15 dollars. I like the look regardless

It is a nice look coin. For the price ? I am not good on. the thing it is this: annealing occur when we roll the main material. After cladding is not more annealing because the structure of the material (future coin) has the crystalline structure.
Is nice coin and to has for future. Before I learn about toning's I accumulate a lot of toning coins and then after I was able to studies. I still have around 50 for fast categories'.

I have a silver spoon that came out of the dishwasher looking like this. 2 years is not nearly enough time for toning like this to occur naturally

Thanks silviosi and Johnh4444. I was referring to the toning if it was annealed. Some are light or dark. If its not annealing then its probably damage

I agree with Silviosi & Yokozuna, chemical reaction from surface contaminant seems likely.
I've been reading a lot on annealment errors lately and while there are several different colors associated with them, blue is not one of those colors.
attractive toning for sure.

Looks like environmental toning/staining to me, not an annealing error. John1
