Hello all of you very smart people!
So, I was reading an older message that was discussing if there is damage to the coin it ruins the value if there is a variety?
First, is that true if there is an error on the coin, but there is damage the coin is no longer worth anything?
Secondly, I have this 1974
Kennedy half dollar. There appears to be damage from wrapping? If this damage was not on the coin would this be a DD or MD on the snake hanging out of the eagle's mouth?
Here are some pictures.

Thanks for teaching me ya'll!!
Have a great weekend! And thank you to all that have served!
