When a coin like this is chopmarked to test for authenticity is the rest of the coin still "gradable"? For instance, this coin is a lower grade but the chopmarks clearly damage the obverse and flatten the reverse.

@spence, I did read the other columns but I wasn't satisfied with the answers. Seems like I still won't be because it is a completely personal preference.

In any case, what would this coin grade as from someone who finds chop marks collectable as well as those who don't?

I personally love chop marks. Adds historical significance. That coin has been more places in this world than I have.

I don't think it would be given a lower grade for chopmarks. Just going to be details depending on where you send it. I think it's in AU shape. But something about the surfaces seem unusual.

AU-55 details, chop marked. Chances are this one will sell for more money to someone that collects chop marked coins than a damage free AU would.
