Well, I wanted to know if there are any value and if so what, in the color of Lincoln cents. I recall the Penny Lady and I checked her site several years ago and it was mostly about reddish brown, red or brown Lincoln cents. Are they valuable? If so what's the value in color of Lincoln Cents? Thank You for responding

The natural ones are called toned coins. But today so many messing with them, they could or aren't much in demand. Most like the natural color. Other times the natural ones are not helped with tarnish.

Pretty difficult to answer that without specific pics. Full red is generally considered the most desirable, but copper can take on multiple colors an many collectors pursue these avidly. Date for date, brown is usually considered the least appealing color, though it is by far the most common.

I dont have any pics to share. It's hard for me to determine the color unless I have them in my hard. what would a brown Lincoln look like? I see the photos and I thank you for the pics. I have been through lots and lots of Lincoln cents and there is no doubt in my mind that I let some good one get away from me. It takes years to be good at recognizing valuable coins.

@coin, if you use the keywords BROWN and Lincoln in the CCF search box, you will find many threads with examples.
