@TNG, noticed that too, but given the earlier die state and strong strike, I would expect it to be more pronounced, if it was indeed the "overdate" (I used quotes specifically for you Fortcollins!) Will post better pics when I get it in hand.

Will post the grade in a couple hours.

I'm glad PCGS saw the 66 here. It's a fantastic coin. FWIW, that's the earliest die state I've seen for that die pairing. Truly wonderful 1914. Very well done.

Thanks for the quotation marks. I'll refrain from any comments about the gouged master die.

Got another one, in Buffalo nickels? Wow fortcollins discussions are paying off for me. Thanks for all your excellent insights on them. I learn a lot from you on Buffalos, and Jon Brand teaches us about Pratt gold, Condor101 is the go to guy on much of the EAC stuff. Such a great community here!
