Unable to identify this coin (medal, token, ?). Help would be appreciated. The coin is gold and weighs about 0.7 grams (scale only reads tenths so could be 0.65 to 0.74). Thanks

Thank you. Unable to find the exact coin but Krause does have a picture of a similar coin - Nepal 1/8 mohar. Didn't think to look there.

@bk8, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree that this seems to be a Nepalese 1/8 Mohar. I do note that the 1/16 Mohars weighed 0.5 g. What diameter is your piece?

Of the several examples on numista and zeno.ru, none are a perfect match to yours.

Thanks for the assistance. The coin appears to be a gold Nepal 1/8 mohar (Kingdom of Kathmandu). No date on coin but most likely 1750-1768AD. Could not find a picture of this specific coin but Krause has a picture of a silver 1/8 mohar that looks just like it (KM# 248). In the same section as the silver coin they list a gold 1/8 mohar (KM# 249) stating that it is similar to the the silver 1/8 mohar. I think this is the coin I have. Again, thanks for the replies to my post.
