Two coins - can you spot the difference? If so, is this common or significant for the date/mint? Questions/comments welcome.

Thanks!

One is normal, and the other is showing Machine Doubling.

Well the lighting is different between the pictures, I can tell this from the U in Pluribus. in fact you can see the lighting is different pretty easily. so of course it's going to reflect differently off the two in different ways. the light is brighter and on a different angle on the S.

other than this lighting issue, I see maybe some Machine Doubling on the S mint. but it's proof, reverse proof in fact, and it might be the light playing off the polished devices also.

So, Nahhh, I can't go further with this lighting and color manipulation of the photos, If this were an ebay listing I'd be taking a hard pass off these pics alone.

I spot the difference, I can guess what caused it, My guess is your camera technique. LOL maybe a bit of photoshop hidden in there also.

@mike, first off .. to CCF

This is a very old topic, I think it would help you much better if you were to start your own topic. And please post up a nice picture or your coin for us all to view. Both obverse (heads) and reverse (tails).
