You are thinking those are doubled die coins. They aren't. The micro stresses of the strike create small stress lines that look like a 2nd version of the letter or a shadow. Without a complete set of sharp photos--full obverse and reverse--I'm thinking this example would run between 20 and 50 cents--possibly as little as 10-15.

Why spend the money to get it graded/slabbed? It will cost you more then the coin is worth...just sayin' Work on taking/posting much better photos so we can help you better.If you do send it in,please post full slab photo front and back. John1 Edited by John1

It's going to cost you $50 or more to grade that coin, far more than the coin itself is worth. MS-66 Red PCGS graded examples are selling on ebay for around $20. Of course, it's your money .... |
