2000-D Sacagawea Experimental Rinse Dollar D?
I know that this experiment was done with P Coins.
That being said, the first day that I got this coin it stood out among the others.
It has this olive green color and so I am asking for you guys to comment.
I am not saying that it is an error nor a special valuable coin.
I am saying that it looks different and so I crave your opinion.

These were given to one artist. She sells if she need the money. So to find them in circulation would probably not be an option.

Experimental rinse coins, mostly produced in 2001, were not given to Glenna Goodacre. Ms. Goodacre was paid $5000 in specially minted 2000 dated coins and sold them all years ago.

As I said, most of the experimental rinse coins were produced in 2001. A few also exist dated 2000, 2006 and 2010 though I don't recall seeing any with a D mint mark.

Nfine is right, but this coin is neither an experimental rinse nor a goodacre. Just a normal coin with environmental toning/damage.

Thanks for the input.
I agree that it is most likely environmental damaged but I needed to post to get the opinion of you guys who have more experience than me.
Makes sense.

The experimental rinse coins were rinsed before striking, an identifier of one is a really clean edge from the collar and ejection which would have removed it.

Similar to the identifier for a misannealed coin, the edge is clean and obverse and reverse are miscolored.

If the edge is like the obverse and reverse it's environmental damage/toning and happened after the strike.

I bet there are some markers for these. I've not seen one. But I'll check to see if PCGS has images of one? Markers would be important.
