Photos posted are a little too soft (fuzzy detail/low resolution) to really see what's happening with the mint mark. If possible, please post a close-in, sharp photo of the D. Thanks.

The famous 1955 doubled die obverse was a Philadelphia strike ( no mint mark); your Lincoln Wheat cent was struck in Denver.

The mint mark D cannot be a Doubled Die as it is hand punched into the striking die.
