Daves Errors Pillar of the Community United States 1566 Posts	Posted 06/07/2021 8:59 pm Coop I have a question. How dose it get damaged from the mint like this? This coin came from a Box of new 2020 D I ordered from my bank. I have one other's like it from the same box not peeling. I also have a 2014 and a 2013 with similar marks. They are often dropped on each other as they come out of the machine. Several coins a second. To them they are pocket change, to us, they are gold. Also factor in counting machines, wrapping machines. It is like rush hour on the coins to get them to storage to send all over the U.S. This one looks like if fell out of the machine onto cement. It happens. That is why we look for the best, the rest are just pocket change. Report this Post to the Staff
