Recently I inherited a bunch of coins and other miscellaneous things from my grandfather. After searching through the coins I have a few that are interesting.. this 1904 indian head looks to be in great shape other than this green color.... is this something that can be cleaned? Should I just leave it alone? Would it be worth the time and $ to get it graded?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, this is a corroded coin with almost no value anymore. I doubt a dealer would offer more than 5 cents, if even that.

Thank you, honestly I wasn't going to sell it, I plan on getting a case for it, just bc it was my grandfather's. I figured if it was worth getting graded I'd go ahead and do that but still let it pass down thru my family.

That's absolutely the right thing to do.

Not worth sending in for grading, but for sure put it in a 2x2 and indicate that it came from your grandfather so that future generations have that knowledge.

That's some pretty bad corrosion , it's probably a salt water coin .

Might be a good coin to practice cleaning on. Never clean most coins but this one sure could use a bit of cleaning. First try some soap and water.

A wise choice.
