Picked this one up couple of weeks ago already slabbed by NGC. How would you grade it? Thanks

I'd say MS-65. Nice cameo appearance on the obverse. The marks on the cheek look mostly like superficial frost breaks. Prooflike on the obverse, but I don't think it makes PL on the reverse.

63+. The obverse looks PL but the reverse appears to fall short. Another one sider from the San Fran mint...

My first impression of the obverse is MS-60. Too many contact marks really lower the eye appeal for me. The strike is strong like most S mint Morgans. The luster I can't judge just from a photo, but the surface preservation isn't good for me. I'd rater have a nice AU coin than this distracting example.

Easy MS63, depending how superficial the obverse marks are, very possibly MS64. No PL due to the reverse

solid typical strike. very difficult due to chatter on the profile to determine if its all just rub from banging around in a bag or if the are any scratches or other flaws. the only one I can make out is a small on the nose. MS64 obverse PL but reverse does not look like it would make it. as stated there are many nice examples of this year out there

MS-64 I think the PL obverse makes the contact look worse than it is.

Here she is. Dave700x nailed it. The rest of your grades weren't far off at all.

Along with a few others I have an 1881-S PCGS MS65+. It has a PL reverse with an obverse that cartwheels. The San Fran mint played musical dies back in '78-81 and maybe beyond.

I think the PL obverse got this one a star.
