I have a 1998 proof-like uncirculated set that is missing the 50c piece. The slot is sealed so this is clearly an error made at the mint when the set was produced. Does anyone know if this is a common issue and whether this set has any extra value?

Never heard of this before, but I have heard of other packaging errors.
I worry though, if that is possible to recreate by resealing the plastic.

Why that would have extra value is beyond me.

I'm not sure Coinfrog, but here's a book I purchased years ago that state they are collectable and hold a premium although I don't collect them.

Interesting departure from the usual heated arguments over a road-rash coin.

Thanks for the feedback. Now I guess I have to get another 1998 set with all the coins!
