Hi Everyone,
I have a 1966 Kennedy half dollar with doubling on some of the letters and numbers. I was wondering if anyone could share their opinion as I am only a newbie to coin collecting. Thanks.

. Can't tell anything from those photos. Need close ups of areas you see as doubled and less glare please. Also please tell us where you are seeing doubling.

@beach, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes having close-up pics of the areas where you are seeing doubling would be helpful. Thx.

Looks harshly cleaned. I assume you weren't the one who cleaned it, but just in case, NEVER CLEAN COINS. It completely destroys any value they night have had.

Also appears to have been plated as well. The SMS were even that shiny.

Like the others have said better pics are needed for sure. Just taking a guess though what you are probably seeing is Machine Doubling. Very common on Kennedy halves.
