If you saw my other post you know that I received three possibly four different doubled die coins from one store today. This is the first coin I'm going to share with you. It's listed on Wexler's as 2008-D 25¢ HI WDDO-001. There was no die markers noted but it is pretty clear what it is.
I do however have a small question about the reverse. What happened to his chest arm and foot? Is it Machine Doubling or die chip and deterioration? Would like to know.

Your image doesn't show that area of the bottom of the ear lobe:

The mark on the foot is a die chip. If it were a doubled die, the doubling would be on the earlobe or on the motto.

Really? From the second picture I would have been so sure about it. I guess I am not the expert though.

I'm not quite sure but the photo Coop linked is the 2012 Philly NP coin My2cent is trying to show the 2008 SH Denver coin. I blew up the full Obverse photo and it does kind of look like Wexler's photo, then again I am no expert in modern coins, I know my 2 cent pieces. But I am seeing something that looks like doubling on the bottom of the earlobe just like the photo on her 2009-D Hawaii WDDO-001 coin. Better photos are sure needed.

The very last photo on the link above.

Looks like a possible doubled earlobe, but it's hard to say definitively from the pictures. These are very hard to photograph in my experience, so I understand the struggle.

To me it could be a contact mark part way up on the lobe?
2008-D-Hawaii-Statehood-Quarter-DDO
Note how the lobe is doubled, meaning it rises higher if on the lobe or raised above the fields. I'm just not seeing that yet on your coin. Later on I'll make side by sides of a normal coin and your image and compare them to see if the love is divided or not. The lobe should be larger than normal, not divided. (Looks like a contact mark affected that area?)
