Going through some quarters today and found this looks like a die chip kinda but all the ones I've seen so far don't look like this. The area in question is slightly raised above the rest the coin and has a different appearance. Wondering what it is

I know my pics aren't the greatest but the left side of the k is higher than the right side not just cracked through

If it was me, I would try a 100% pure acetone soak just to be sure.

Die crack almost getting to a die break. Just a little metal must fall out of the die. making the void a bit wider. Then it would be a die break.

Soak for 10-20 mins,if it is going to come off it should do so by then.

Nope just junk dang it at least I have acetone if I encounter something else questionable now haha
