Lianna Spurrier is Young Numismatist that has now started her own Coin Media company, she plans to live stream a number of ANA convention events. This will allow those who cannot attend to watch live from home. However, Lianna needs to reach the one thousand subscriber mark on YouTube in order to take advantage of their streaming services. Please subscribe to Lianna's YouTube channel (which is free, and contains excellent numismatic content) if you wish to help push us over the mark. We only need to have around 250 more subscribers sign up in the next two months, it's doable, even if you don't plan on watching, live you can see it after the fact, so it's worthy of a subscribe to help the ANA and any potential members ANA members out, heck anyone that is on YouTube will be able to watch, please help Lianna spread the word on coin collecting it doesn't cost you anything, it's east to sign up and you don't even have to watch. While you are at her channel be sure to see some of the excellent videos she has already done on various numismatic subjects. Thanks guys and gals! Please help spread the word to all, even your kids can sign up they don't have to watch, but she really needs that 1000 subscriber mark to be able to live stream.

It's not looking like Lianna will NOT make the 1000 subscribers in time. The ANA is stating they will do some live updates from their Facebook channel, wish it wasn't the case. I have a FB account but I rarely use it anymore, so much toxic garbage on there and overall I just don't like their way of doing business.  It's a sad day when a neat hobby like ours can't even get 1000 people to like a young numismatist and a women collector, (which we need way more of in the hobby), while some bozo streaming a dumb video game from their basement gets 250,000+ subscribers. EDIT: I updated the correct time for Rusty Goe's Carson City Presentation it will be on August 12th at Noon CST. A little update the ANA has announced their scheduled livestreams for the up coming ANA World's Fair of Money show in Rosemont, Illinois later this month. https://www.money.org/wfm/livestreamAnd the NBS meeting will be done by Lianna Spurier after all. NBS General Meeting event/1171358Numismatic Bibliomania Symposium (Rusty Goe Speaking at this event)! event/1171349Liberty Seated Collectors Club event/1171342Medal Collectors of America General Meeting (If previous meeting ends in time) event/1171352 The NBS General Meeting may sound boring to some, but this year the NBS is pleased to have author and dealer, Rusty Goe give a presentation talk on his new 3 volume book set of the Carson City Mint and it's coinage. I'm really excited to see this, as I can't make the show this year. Lenord Albrecht let me know a couple of weeks ago this was in the plans, while I helped to figure out a problem happening at the NNP. Problem is fixed, disaster averted, and now this great news! Please join if you can and won't be in Rosemont at the show. Also another first: NBS Benefit AuctionEach year at the ANA World's Fair of Money, the Numismatic Bibliomania Society conducts a benefit auction to raise funds for the organization. All items sold are donated to the NBS by members and 100% of the proceeds go to the NBS treasury. This year, we are trying to increase participation in the auction by distributing a catalogue of the sale to all NBS members so that members unable to attend in person can participate. It's really the audience, most people active on youtube are more along my age. Most collectors aren't on youtube or major streaming platforms. Also, youtube does actively throttle channels set for streaming, as odd as it seems. 250k subs is nothing today either, many streamers get 250k live viewers, that's more than CNN gets in their key demos. One streamer I watched a few weeks ago had half a million live viewers. |
