Bought this for $40 on ebay just because.. Is this just brown tarnish in a coincidental pattern? Does everything else look legit?

The PCGS auth lines up except for the mercanti signature being included which in my experience happens quite a bit.

Thanks for everyone's help on the last coin I posted I'm sending it in for grading and will post the results!

Looks well and good to me.

Maybe I'm just missing something but why are you gonna send it in for grading when it's already been graded?

Maybe you should just have it reholdered instead?

Not resending this one just wondering about it's authenticity and the pattern of toning seems strange.
The other coin I had was in an NNC holder and had strange toning I was going to send it in for a crossover if the toning was legit.

PCGS will not crossover an NNC encapsulated anything. You had better crack it out and send it raw but I doubt the cost would justify. If it is an MS70 NNC label you can bet it's not an MS70 example. NNC is the leading basement slabber crook.

Oh ya the Nnc coin definitely had a mark or two I just want it to come back with any grade and not questionable color. I know it's weird but I only collect toned silver coins it's my thing. Here's the other coin thread I posted a while back. http://goccf.com/t/399380

I think your NNC example looks as natural as many PCGS graded toned examples. Expect MS67 or 68 which only means PCGS accepts the toning. The real money is in the color with these as I'm sure you already know. Best of luck if you do submit it.
As for the PCGS example it kind of reminds me of what happens to an ASE when left in Littleton clamshell packaging.
