Hey CC,

Check out this 1955 D. Is this an RPM? I think it is? Your thoughts? Also, I see something weird on the reverse. It seems to have some Cud on wrapped around the "N" on ONE.

1955D-1MM-010.
It is a RPM, but damaged. Not the inside center area of the mintmark.

I believe the area on the "N" in CENT on the reverse was caused by a die clash. Check out this link for an overlay http://www.maddieclashes.com/one-cent-overlays/

Thanks to everyone for providing their input and links. I am still learning all the ins and outs of the hobby, but it's nice to have a place like this to share and care.

Seems you didn't like our call on your coin, so why ask us? No RPM, sorry.

Just a die chip on the date as noted, and not an RPM.

You people need to start reading posts before responding. Coop nailed the 1mm10. And it would have to have been a strong clash to involve the devices. Maybe a gouge?

John1 just missed it because of the damage on the lower serif. If it were not for the damage, John1 would have spotted it as well. I just happened to look into the center of the mintmark and spotted it. Easy to do, when the damage ifs so strong.

Cujohn makes a good point about people needing to read posts more carefully and look more closely at the images. It's easy to be right 99% of the time by simply saying "no, MD" in every thread, but the false negative rate is often higher than it should be.

Also, are you a fly fisher, Cujohn? Cujohn = copper john?
