I know it's one of the more common varieties, is it like a Lincoln Cent Wide AM common or more common like a die chip or die crack?

I ask this because I just searched 7-8 rolls of dimes and found 8 of them although pretty circulated

Not possible. Sounds more like damage to me. The over mintmarks went out in the 1950's.

Coop, I think he may be referring to the 68 proof reverse on the 70 P and D Roosevelt dime.
