Here's my first coin ever sent into any grading company what do you guys think? Any idea of what something like this is worth? It's an MS69 *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

i can't believe after grading fees, and shipping, that you can make much on this coin. my opinion only..
someone who appreciates toning may be interested..

Reclypso: to the CCF !As expected, toning did not affect the grade. It is rather subjective, that one may prefer toning on only one side or not. For lots collectors, the value as graded does not justify the grading and shipping fees. As a rule of thumb potential value needs to be over $100 to justify those fees, because there is a greater possibility for an overall loss in a hypothetical resale Nevertheless, a pleasing coin to include in a silver stash.

IMO and in my experience I think this would sell for ~$90-$110 at auction. Prices have been very volatile on toned ASEs as of the last year, auctions have an equal chance to bring the highest and lowest prices as of late.

Toning has a value that's impossible to predict. I've seen some coins that I thought were only nice go for 50 times the guide value and coins that I thought would be high value go for just about issue price. It takes the right combo of coin, color and at least TWO collectors that want EXACTLY that coin in that color and pattern. When that happens, it gets interesting. I really like the rainbow on this coin, but who knows what it will sell for, I do hope you get the right combo of circumstances and it goes for a great price. Let us know what happens if you sell!

Yeah, like @Yokozuna posted, it takes the perfect storm auction conditions to yield the higher hammer prices. In my opinion this example has a better chance than many especially graded MS69. It seems many toned ASE's end up 68 and even 67.
