The 4th coin chosen from the raw collection (check out coin 1 for more info) is an 1804 Draped Bust Half Cent with Crosslet 4 and stems. Fluorescent vs LED lighting and a video. The coin looks darker in hand. What are your options on grade/condition and would it be worth sending to TPG to be slabbed?

It looks like it had some cleaning. There is some indication on the reverse of possible corrosion. Grade : around Vf35 IMO. This is a fairly common Half Cent so I wouldn't think it would be worth sending it in for grading. Otherwise a nice coin. I'm no expert - let's see what others say.

I'm with those that say VF cleaned. Not worth certifying.

While the video suggests darker surfaces than the first set of pics, it also shows the evenly-reflective surfaces that often characterize a cleaned and re-toned coin. I lean toward VF details.

With all the crud still on the surface in the protected areas, I'm not convinced the coin has been cleaned. Color look natural in the video as the coin is turned in the light. VF-25 straight grade.
