So on this 1958 D Wheat penny I noticed a couple things and I'm just trying to get the differnt varieties and errors down. So on the head that's what a die crack would show, right. Would that be 2 die cracks with the bigger one showing a Cud I think. Then on the back that would be stuck through grease where it's really thin on the lettering, right. And then the leaf on the left what would that be. A die chip or from a crack I'm not sure about that one.

@derf, yes I see die cracks on Abe's head (so-called "cracked skull") plus a small die chip on the left wheat. Both are pretty common, but still fun to find. The lightness of strike on the rev might be due to that being directly opposite to the base of Abe's bust, where lots of metal flowed and there wasn't quite enough to fill out the letters on the rev.

Very nice cracked skull. Tiny die chip on the left wheat stalk. Devices on the reverse could have been impacted by 'metal insufficiency' or Grease Filled Die. The metal insufficiency issue is well represented in many Lincoln zinc memorial cents.

A good, 2x2 worthy example.

FYI, Cuds appear only on the rim of the coin.
