what is up with Roosevelt dime, especially the '85? They all seem messed up. Like hella Greased die errors and a lot of off centers, ect. Does it happen to do something with their size? Picture for example:
It looks like an average strike for the 1985-D. This issue seems to be an Inadequate Upset on the planchets from the Upset Mill. The planchets had a very light proto-rim, so when they were struck, the dies couldn't transfer the design details properly. Do a search for "Inadequate Upset" and you should find several topics on this.
