Hello everyone,
I'm a new member and I've just started collecting coins here recently
and I'm hooked without a doubt, with that being said my knowledge is
little to none when it comes to knowing things. So I could really use
some help from any of you with what I'm trying to find out. Earlier
today as I was looking over some coins I just got I came across this
1954-P Wheat penny that looks as if its got a double ear. But what do I know I'm new to this world of coin collecting an could really use any ones knowledge about this. THANKS

. Looks more like damage from being circulated. Type doubled ear in the search box upper left of page.

I'm seeing a well worn Wheat cent with plenty of dings and hits--including the ear feature. Post strike damage.

Incuse marks on a coin are damage 99% of the time. On a Doubled earlobe, the doubling is raised above either the fields or the design. You coin is showing coin damage from coin contact during the years of circulation. When you look at many examples side by side, then you will that that this is true.

Not seeing a double ear, but I'm not the best of identifying them, especially on a rough coin. Lots of post mint damage ( PMD). Always show us photos of the overall coin, both sides, please.
