There is no doubling there. The dies were overly polished, possibly to remove a die clash, so that the lettering was thinned. Just die polishing, not a doubled die.

I'm with the others.
Not seeing any thickness, separation or notching to indicate a doubled die.

I am not sending this cent to Wexler. I was referring to him, because I saw them on his site. Thanks.

Doubling would increase the size of raised devices (and reduce incuse devices), so what you have here is as far from doubling as it gets. As has been said, just a slightly overpolished die.

Note the examples above.
Normal
Machine Doubling
Doubled die
On your coin the devices are even smaller than normal. So it is not a doubled die. As there is no doubling of the design on the die.

Let me try to understand here. You first said you sent it in-------

Quote:
I sent it in due to the look of the liberty .

Which actually meant that you didn't send it in---------

Hmmmm. The challenges the experts face daily are endless. God Bless, and a thank you to all the experts for their time, and their patience, and for their amazingly accurate findings reported in their responses in spite of those
challenges.
