1953 D Wheat Penny Broadstrike? Error

As soon as I picked this one up it felt off...weighs 3.0 grams, it looks like a centered broadstrike, but when I held it up to another coin it looked the same size diameter.

Also, the sides of the coin are and indented edge, so the top and bottom stick out slightly further.

Is it a broadstrike? or something else...thanks.

Former Encased Coin, that was most likely held in a "lucky/never go broke" holder.
