I don't normally search 1960 rolls but taking some relaxing time and going through whatever roll comes out of my stash next. There were 4 DDO-004 in the roll, so worth it. But this thing is so minor that I know I've sent in much stronger DDO coins and got the dreaded "too minor" so unsure why this one ever made a listing with VV. It is listed as a "medium spread below L of LIBERTY."

Also of interest I found another one of these coins that looks like a DDO but eventually Wexler ruled it a pair of die gouges, one to the right of the G and one to the right of the D in GOD. A long discussion about this thing was in a thread from about four years ago when I first found one and can be seen here: http://goccf.com/t/295506&SearchTerms=1960

Lets see..relaxing after a 4 hour commute and you found 4 DDO-004s.....What if you had a 7 hour commute...

Nice finds and

Nice read on the die gouge back story... several classic members who are surely missed

Thanks GF! Ah but it's nice to just sit and find stuff again for a change. Pulled 4 1963 proof DDO-011 coins out of a roll and just found about six of these BIE multiples in a roll.

Sorry for the lame photo but didn't take the time to filter my light which is really needed for BIE pics.

Four proof DDO's in a single roll of proof 1963 coins. There are so many doubled dies on 1963 and 1964 coins that the only way to get any reasonable number of them is to buy proof rolls and hunt them.

Tropicalbats, I have 8 64 LMC P proof rolls. I try to hunt DCAM or toned cents. On the toner thread I'll post three that show a progression from CAM to Lincoln in Purple and then the other as complete crimson. Separate coins, from separate batches. But I agree, if you can proof rolls at reasonable prices, they have a lot of items you can hunt.

Good eye on the "60". Pretty sure I would not catch that one if I ran across it.
