Thanks, John! I'll have to take a closer look at the remnants of the obverse inscriptions to see if I can possibly make anything out that might give me a clue...
EDIT: I looked with a bright light angled across the surface of the coin, and I can definitely make out a COL and part of another letter above the horse. After looking at the obverse with the light, I remember now why I thought it was Gallienus instead of Valerian I; while I can't make out the individual letters, it appears faint remnants of an inscription continue above the head, while on the Valerian I (as shown on your link) there is a gap in the inscription over the top of the head. I wouldn't bet on it, though, as it may just be some aspects of the corrosion and I'm "seeing" letters that may not be there...
