I had 3 orders come in this morning and almost immediately after accepting the offers got these messages. Edit: In case it wasn't totally obvious, those aren't real phone numbers so I'm not redacting them  Now obviously these are cut and paste messages, so it was immediately clear it was a scam, but I played along and gave the guy a call. It rang thru and I got a "TextNow" voicemail. TextNow is a VOIP/Messaging service that uses burner phone numbers. I got almost the exact same message from 2 phone numbers right after.   It was a pretty obvious scam, but just be on the lookout. Edited by GrapeCollects

Wow, what a blatant *** Edited by Staff | The bad word filter is in place for a reason. Bypassing the filter and making the intended word obvious anyway is completely unacceptable. *** tool! I sure would liked to see them get what's coming to 'em and more.  |

yes, that is not a new scam,, been around for years..Good on you for knowing it is a scam. Weird that 3 people tried it on you all at once, or 3 hacked accounts.. Make sure to report all 3 accounts/buyers to ebay. so they can shut down the accounts.. Pretty sure they would then send a fake paypal notice that payment has been made, and of course have you ship it to a different address, than the one provided by paypal/ebay.. A good lesson here for anybody selling on ebay.. |

All 3 accounts in this case were the same guy. All were hacked and been suspended in the mean time.

Huh haven't seen this one before. Thanks for alerting us even if it isn't new.
Sorry to hear about it though, having your time wasted by scammers isn't a very fun endeavor.
