You need clear, full coin shots of the obverse and reverse and a better description and closeup of what you are asking about. The coin looks like it has lots of circulation wear, die wear and more than likely a zincoln, so probably plating issues too. Whatever you are seeing could be any of these things.

Here is a read that will save you a lot of time and effort in the long run:
"Learning the Hobby Backwards"
Looking for random anomalies on coins and hoping they match up to something collectable will take you a lot more time, wasted effort, and disappointment repeatedly finding out you have nothing but post mint damage.

Spend some initial time at places like error-ref.com, doubleddie.com, varietyvista.com, conecaonline.org, coppercoins.com etc. to find what actual and collectable coin errors look like.

A good way to start is, for instance, separate a bunch of pennies by date. Go to varietyvista.com and, date by date, use the reference there to see what errors are known for that specific coin/mint mark. Look for those specific errors/varieties using the pictures provided. After doing this for awhile you will KNOW what an actual error looks like and not have to waste time on face value and damaged coins.

@Earle42 - That's a great idea! I recently had a stroke and lost my near eidetic memory. One of my exceptional autistic gifts. I can hardly, if at all, remember and retain new information. It's been gravely devastating.
Anyway, I will try to remember what you have said, and remember that I have the screenshot(s) of your suggestions, and remember that I also have copied and pasted your text into my notes field, but I'm nearly confident that I will not remember any of these things. But I will TRY my best!
Thank you.

Better photos are definitely needed, and please, no monitor screen shots. Thank you.
