But I am still unsure. I am hoping to give it to my husband for his birthday as he was born in 1967 but I don't want to give them anything that is not a real error.
Also I hope that I did enough research on my own before I posted here.

Please crop photos properly before posting, it brings the coin closer to view. We will need close ups to really help you.

By increasing the size of your photos, (Which are pretty blurry) I would have to say it is
not a genuine clip but would certainly need larger and clearer pictures to verify.
We need to be able to see the small details in pictures you post.

Agree, much larger images needed. So far, I'm doubtful about this one.

This one is cropped as asked and it's 252kb.

Is it any better? If so I will crop the others and make them as close to 300kb as possible.

Also when cropping your photos try to eliminate all un-needed background until the frame is almost touching the rim of the coin. Your added photos are better, but still lots of unnecessary background....

P.S. I'm sure your husband will love anything you give him for his B-day....

My hunch was right, not an incomplete planchet,
just damage, probably intentional.

Just to show you how much larger your photo becomes just by cropping it.

I agree, crop your photos to the edge of the rims. I also agree this is not a mint clipped error coin, but rather post mint damage ( PMD), perhaps intentional damage. Still worth one cent!

This looks like a man-made construction to me too. I vote for finding something else for your husband's birthday.
