Looks a little big to be considered a crack. Maybe a Cud ? In any case, a nice spike head.

Well, there IS a Cud and there IS a die crack, so it looks like you have both.

I'd call it a die crack and a die chip.

I call it nice enough to save in a 2x2. Nice find @1199.

I'm with John1 and Coinfrog on it being a die chip and a crack.

The 'chip' does not involve the rim edge. it just goes up to the rim.

It appears to go through the rim in the second pic. Does that make it a small Cud? It also appears to have a cracked skull.

The only reason I called it a Die Break instead of a Die Chip is because of the size. It is hard to tell from a blown up photo but it looked more than 4 square mm. If it is smaller, then it is indeed a Die Chip.

Size wise it might only be a die chip but it is raised above and overlaps the rim a little.

IMHO, if it gets larger it will be considered a Cud.

If a piece of the edge of the die is broken away leaving a void, then it is taller than the rim. This one looks like a small Die Cud as it is taller than the rim. Die cracks are not tall enough to be taller than the rim. A die break can be taller, and if located on the rim where part of the die broke off, it would be a Cud. But a large die chip/break on the grains on a Wheat cent would not be a Die Cud. It would have to be on the outside edge of the die to be a Cud.
