okiecoiner,
What I have noticed is each denomination has its own unique way of being doubled when they are subject to a misaligned or tilted second impression when the working punch creates the working die.
Small cents seem to mostly have the dates, bud or legends doubled and nothing else, most likely due to their size.
As for bigger coins like the Loon Dollars and two dollar coins when they show the effects of hub doubled elements you find it can be more severe and spread out to almost everything, however the beads never seem to be affected.
Example, the 1964 and 1965 doubled bud small cents, it is one single detail that is doubled yet you find nothing else is affected.
When looking at doubled dies for the 5 cent nickel almost all examples known are restricted to the center, there was a big misconception regarding this being due to the "single squeeze method" but the 2012 and 2013 DDO examples debunk that theory as the entire legends can be found with clear split serifs and notching.
Ive spent the last year and a half 100% focused on Canadian doubled dies on modern coins from 1940 to present and figureing out the why, when and how.
I recall reading on here a while back someone asking how many doubled dies can be found on Canadian coins, I do have a specific number in mind but my answer for now is hundreds.
I also managed to figure out what dates and denominations are common and which ones are the result of master die doubling.
