There were no Silver Quarters produced that year. It has probably been replated silver after it left the mint and sold as a novelty item. You can also find them replated in gold.

There were silver quarters minted in 2015. But the were minted in San Francisco . Yours is must likely plated

I don't think the weight will help any because it will be minute. Normal is 5.7 grams +/- mint tolerance .19 grams. John1

We will need the weight. What looks like plated I am really hoping is silver. The weight if it is silver is 6.25g give or take.

That's within the Weight Tolerance for clad quarters. As Oldfordman mentioned, 90% silver quarter planchets are 6.25g.
