What about the mint mark? Also some other marking that appear to be from another coin.

Looks more like an outdoor find that some of the surface has peeled off the coin. Just wheat cents now.

Hey Springfield, I have a light cent just like that I'm thinking progressive something, I have 1944s and 1945s both 2.6 grams but though the 1944s looks like your left 1944. What's your mint mark on 1944?

I know these guys are most likely correct definitely damaged or environmental. Now that I've seen a similar 1944s light weight I'll probably have mine checked and I'll post it here prior, several foreign blanks were used back then I'm more curious now. I'm new in this fourm so trust the experienced pros on this. Barb
