Nice acquisitions! Errors (coins or currency) are something I've never collected, but always found fascinating to look at!

Strangely enough, while I'm fascinated by these error notes, I've never had nay interest whatsoever in error coins. My son asked me today at the show why I didn't also collect error coins (of which there were plenty), and I couldn't give him any answer other than they just don't appeal to me.

But, to his advantage, you have other preferences.

You picked up these notes at Baystate Coin Show?

@NumisEd: Yep! I was there with my son. There's a guy I frequently buy from who specializes in notes and he usually has a stack or two of error notes.

Would love to see a note suffering from road rash.

Super nice error notes Barry. I love seeing the dramatic, obvious errors. Congratulations on your new additions.

Quote: I love seeing the dramatic, obvious errors My thoughts exactly! I just can't excited for more subtle errors such as offset edges or small gutters or ink smears. What gets my juices flowing are the errors that make me stop and say, "Holy Cow! How in the world did THAT happen?"

Lovely errors "barryg." I have always appreciated errors (so rare) & actually enjoy the subtle ones too (like mismatched serial numbers) but these two One FRN's from New York are "show-stoppers." The pair also illustrates the perfect time to pick up consecutive notes too. I also like your $20 with the serial numbers seals shifted so dramatically. Great pick ups!

And in other news, I just realized that I can actually scan these notes directly instead of photographing them, since the $20 is old enough and the $1 notes are too unrecognizable for my software to complain about. So enjoy the better quality images I just replaced the originals with!
