Picked up 31 rolls of wheat cents, these two came out of the same roll. Pictures are a little rough, haven't quite calmed down yet.   And the big one.   Close up of date and VDB.   Okay guys and gals, attack the 1909S VDB, real or not ? |

I took a look at the chart that KurtS attaches to most of the threads that members use to alert others about altered 09s vdb's, and IMO it looks good! Looks like Obverse #3 to me. So, who's selling these rolls?!! Was this roll a terrible (for the seller, not you!) mistake? Were there semi-key goodies in the other rolls, or did this roll stand out?

Just reread that last post, DUMB QUESTION! Of course the roll stood out; I meant other than the two obvious coins!

The only thing that stood out was how dirty and cruddy looking the roll was. Lots of teens and 20s plus one 1907 IHC. |

Refresh my memory... Did the VDB initials have periods between them?
I have never owned one, but that just doesn't look right to me.

Incredible! The Flying Eagle alone would have been an exceptional find as it looks to be an AU coin worth $200!
The S-V.D.B. appears to be VF30 at least. $1,200 minimum!

All I can say is that a find like that couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. What comes around goes around and it appears that it came your way about 10 fold. Congrats I am happy for you  |
