Just to be sure, unless a steam roller did a 360 on this I cannot for the life me see possibly how this nickel turned out like this. Anyone who might know who, what or how this ended up this way and even possibilities or assumptions will be okay with me.

Looks like someone took that nickel out to the toolshed. Hammer? Vise? No way to know for sure, but it's taken a beating.

We could all guess but unless you were there at the time, you might never know what caused it.
The main thing is that it is PMD and has no extra value.

My vote is the aforementioned steam roller.

JimmyD is right, damage is damage which equals post mint damage, no matter how you slice it or dice it.
It didn't leave the mint this way.

And if there at one point, they would have been obliterated by all the damage done to this coin

I take you at your word in re: possibilities and assumptions. I don't see how this could possibly be done except by a machine -- most probably one never designed to come in contact with a coin.

Well I want to meet the guy who did this one lol. Well in the bucket it goes! Found a Wisconsin Extra High leaf today on a better note. Well again thanks for the input! I'll post the Extra High leaf tomorrow sometime after church.
